Hopefully you’ve grown out of being entertained by the political puppet show. But even if you still claim a side, you can agree their making a mockery out of us with your tax dollars.
Loot Counsel is a ministry grounded in the conviction that each individual has a moral and spiritual responsibility to examine the systems they participate in—especially those involving the use and direction of their labor and resources. Many have come to question whether what is commonly treated as obligation is, in fact, voluntary in nature, and whether their continued participation aligns with their conscience. When contributions are directed toward outcomes that conflict with one’s deeply held values, that tension becomes more than financial—it becomes spiritual.
The ministry exists for those who feel that conflict and choose not to ignore it. Loot Counsel holds that no person should be compelled, through confusion or assumption, to support actions that undermine their beliefs or the well-being of others. Through education and ministerial support, the focus is on helping individuals better understand their position and ensure that their participation—whatever form it takes—is intentional, informed, and aligned with their moral and spiritual convictions.
Loot Counsel does not claim these ideas as its own, nor does it seek to be the primary source of education on the subject. Many others have devoted far more time to developing and sharing those materials. Instead, the ministry exists to assist and encourage those who already feel the pull but remain hesitant to act—to provide structure, clarity, and support for individuals ready to take that step, so they can move forward with confidence rather than uncertainty.
